Mission Statement
The Student Union Art Gallery strives to create a visual dialogue for student life using exhibitions as both a means of expression and a learning environment.
Values Statement
The Art Gallery strives to:
- Showcase unique and high-quality exhibits that represent UNC Charlotte as well as the local and regional arts community;
- Provide a welcoming atmosphere that fosters the exchange of ideas and intellectual engagement;
- Promote emerging creative processes on campus and in the larger art world;
- Curate exhibits that heighten students' awareness of current social and cultural discourse.

Monday - Sunday 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM

Submit an Interest Form
The Student Union Art Gallery Committee will review all proposals. Once your application has been reviewed you will be notified of your status. If you have any questions, please email suartgallery@charlotte.edu.
Proposal requirements:
- Proposed Exhibit Name
- Artist bio and/or exhibit statement (attach a PDF or Microsoft document)
- Preferred Month of Exhibit & Alternate Month of Exhibit (including preferred start and end dates)
- Images and/or descriptions of all pieces to be featured in your proposed exhibit (artists must have at least 19 works in order to be considered)
If your proposal is accepted, your exhibition dates will be tentatively held until you have submitted all works to be featured in the Art Gallery and all contracts have been signed by the artist and the university.
